Seaside Festival Parade!

I finally got my camera. The man who had it lived in Attleboro and George had to drive very near where he lives, so they made arrangements to meet and get my things back. Thank you George! George drove JoAnna's float from her school. The theme was 'Anything's Possible'. They won best in theme. Also, the Seaside Festival had a float this year. Erin was on it. Also, Mimi and her two kids were on it. They got a ribbon too. Click on the pictures to get a better view of the floats!

Gracie!

Heres more pictures of Karin and Jeff's new puppy to be--Gracie!! Isn't she adorable?? All puppies are!! They hope to bring her home early November. I wonder what their other dog, Jetty, will think. He's so laid back that he may not care at all or be jealous!

Venice and Maggie!

Let's check in with Venice and Maggie. They've been busy. Venice is the receptionist at Hyannis Animal Hospital. Also, Venice and Maggie are rooting for the Red Sox! Go Sox!!

Guest Speaker at Quit Guid!

We had a guest speaker at quilt guild this month. Her name is Mickie Lawler and she's from Connecticut. She paints her own material and makes quilts. I love the beach houses.
I'll get back to the seaside festival. Someone took my camera home by mistake and I'm trying to get it back. Hopefully soon!!

Seaside Festival

The Seaside Festival is in full swing. We had a Coast Guard hellicopter land near the field and then they let people look inside. First it circled the field and then landed near the State Police Barracks. It was a glorious day. We hope the next 2 days are just as nice. There is another day of the fair tomorrow which also includes the 5K road race. Then on Mon is the sand sculptures at Smugglers Beach and the canoe/kayak race down Bass River.

Challenge Quilt

Our guild had a challenge quilt. If you wanted to do it, you were given 5 materials. The rules were that it couldn't be smaller than 12" or bigger than 18" and you had to use all of the 5 materials, but you could add any of your own material. The theme was, "A Quilt for All Seasons". This is my challenge. I'm imagining that the woman is so busy sewing and quilting that she doesn't notice that the seasons have changed from spring to winter! These challenge quilts will be hanging at Tumbleweed Quilt Shop, Rte 132, W. Barnstable, begininning on Oct. 9th. Stop in and see everyone's challenge. You can also vote! hint, hint!!!
