Festival Parade

The theme of the parade was the 'the little parade that could'. George drove the truck that pulled the float from Mattacheese school that JoAnna, Kenny, and Jenni designed and built. I think the children helped a little. A couple of floats backed out of the parade because of the weather. Also the middle school band and the high school band backed out because they thought it would rain too hard. The rained stopped just before the parade started. It wasn't sunny, but the parade was held anyway and went off well.
Jacques McNeight came up from Florida and got to ride in Tower 41. He's a retired Yarmouth firefighter. He also got to go up in the 100 ft. ladder when it was on the field. He had a blast. It was nice that he and his wife could make it to the festival. It's nice to see him with such a smile on his face.
