We just returned from 5 days in Vegas.  This is the Lobby of the Palazzo Hotel.  It is so pretty.  Just love the waterfall!!  The flowers hanging from the ceiling are all hand painted.  So soothing!

Made for Aaron's Birthday!!!

I made this for little Aaron's birthday.  His mother used to summer at our park and has remained friends with Erin.  I thought the trucks were so boyish!

George's 65th Birthday Bash!

We Did It!!  We gave George a birthday surprise at Sam Diego's last night.  His birthday is really Sunday, but we'll be in Vegas, so we surprised him last night.  Everyone had a good time.  Thank you to JoAnna and Erin for helping me surprise him!  Happy Birthday, George!!  Many, Many, more!

Tragedy in Boston!

My heart is broken with the tragedy that happened at the Boston Marathon!  Especially, the death of the 8 yr old boy!  He looked like such a sweet boy!  So sad and so senseless.

So to lightened the mood a little, I've posted my beautiful granddaughter with her dress that her mother made, of course!!  It's that gorgeous blue that I love because it brings out her blue eyes.  Also Alison did the embroidery on the front.  It's s called hardanger!!  It's quite complicated!  It makes me happy to look at her!

Quilts from Cape Cod Quilters Guild

This is an antique quilt that someone donated to be auctioned off next month.  It's from the early 1900's and it's in very good condition.

This is a stunning wallhanging that is all done with machine embroidery!  It's amazing!! Click on it to see just how stunning it really is!

Piece of Metal from Fallen Towers in NY!

Yarmouth Police Dept. was the recipient of a chunk of metal from the Fallen Towers on 911 in NYC!! YPD had an open house two weeks ago to show the community.   People talked about it and then we could all take pictures and touch it.  By Sept 11, 2013 it will be in it's permanent place of honor at YPD under thick glass, so it was nice to be able to touch it before that happens.  It gave me such an odd feeling to touch it.  I hope when they have their dedication for it that they honor the Firemen too!!

This is her newest dress that Alison made for her.  She looks like an Easter egg!!  Also reminds me of a tulip!  Below is a picture of her with the Easter Bunny.  I'm shocked she'd sit with him!

Raffle Quilt from Bayberry Quilters!

This is this year's raffle quilt from Bayberry Quilters.  It will be raffled off in Aug.  Tickets are 6 for $5.00.  I have some tickets if anyone is interested in buying any.  The quilt is gorgeous!!

Quilt I Made!

This is a quilt that I got back from the quilter before I left for FL.  I now have to put on the binding and it'll be done.  I think this will be given to the Yarmouth Chamber's spring auction.  This reminds me of spring.

Here are two quilts from the quilt show in Lakeland, FL.  It was the most disorganized quilting event I've been to.  It took more than 20 min just too get up to the registration desk.  Also it was $7.00 to park and $10.00 to get in.  That is the most expensive quilting event I've been to also.  Oh well, the quilts were gorgeous and the vendors were great.
