A couple of weeks ago Lena came and stayed with us for 4 days. I took her to Chatham to meet Elsa and Anna from the movie Frozen. She had a ball. She was coloring with the other kids and she got to have her picture taken with Elsa and Anna. Thank God Erin and JoAnna were around in the evenings to give her her bath and put her to bed. I was worn out. They took her at other times too! It was fun!
Here are 4 more from that show. A friend of mine did one exactly like this bottom quilt. She said it was kind of difficult. It's beautiful, but does look kind of difficult! It's called, Around the Town Square!
She kind of looks mad here, but isn't! She's pretending she's sewing and she's watching a cartoon!!
She loves being outside. It was freezing, but she had fun at the playground at the beach. She rode the horse and I pushed her on the swing. Won't be able to fit in that type of swing much longer. Don't you love the sunglasses!!
This is Rachel's (our tour guide for one day) quilt shop. It's a lovely shop. Every day she has different quilts hung outside and in her windows. She sells quilts made by Amish or Mennonite women plus material and quilting supplies. Lovely shop!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My friend Vicky gave her a new panda puppet which she immediately called Murry!! She 'read' to Pafa! and we snuggled. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of our dinner but it was good.
This map was on our bed when we entered our room. It explained the cruise. To drive it would only be about 3 1/2 hrs, but on the water it's 522 miles and there are many twists and turns and locks.
We got to tour Fort Campbell. We were going to eat with the soldiers, but it took so long to check us in through the gate that all the soldiers had finished. This is the tray that they use. The are known as the 'Screaming Eagles'! The bottom picture is set up for a race that was to take place the following day. Each boot symbolizes a soldier who had died in the past few years. Very moving!
