JoAnna's Birthday!

We celebrated JoAnna's birthday on Monday night. We have pie because Erin can't eat cake. Alison got JoAnna a camp chair. She had quite a time figuring it out. She went over a couple of times and then just laughed!

Rainbows!

We've had two beautiful rainbows around here lately!! Kenny took the picture of the one by the car wash. I took the one by the windmill. JoAnna called to say there was a gorgeous rainbow by the windmill. When she first saw it, it was the whole arc and very bright! I've never seen such a bright rainbow before. It's actually double but kind of hard to see in the picture. The double one is over the mast in the sail boat. I hope it means luck. I go to the doctor today for results of my ultrasound. Wish me luck!!

Quilting Weekend in Eastham

I was a quilt retreat Fri. and Sat. in Eastham. I had a good time. I didn't feel like I accomplished that much but I did finish the binding on one quilt and start another one. I'll post those later. The top picture is the finished quilt that Penny made over the weekend. The next one is a finished quilt that Diana made over the weekend. The last picture is of Christine and Diana, my two table mates, busy at work!!

Cousin Alan's 80th Birthday Surprise!!

My cousin, Alan, lives in Whitinsville, MA. He'll actually be 80 on Tues but his kids threw him a surprise party on Sun. He was quite surprised. He looks wonderful. There were 6 kids in the family and there are 3 of them left: Alan, Elinor, and Butch. It was a nice party and so good to see all the relatives

It's SSS (Saturday Sewing Society) Again!

The first is Christine's 'Delectable Mountains' for her son. Then there's Jan's 'quilt as you go' with gorgeous soft colors. Can't wait to see it completed. Another of Christine's called 'Tessellating Leaves' for her other son. Barbara brought her quilt that she made and quilted for her son. He liked it, but he said it had amoebas on it! That's what he called the quilting on it!! Funny!!!

Quilts made in Sunny's Convergence Class!

A few weekends ago there was a quilting conference in Hyannis with Ricky Tims. One of his quilts was called convergence. A bunch of us took a class last week to try and make one. The bottom one is a close up of mine. It was fun.
