A Few More Pictures of the rehearsal dinner, etc!!

The rehearsal dinner was very nice. Even the minister was able to attend. Dan got some time off from work to attend. Robin with her two girls--Indigo and Arabella outside the church. Arabella decided to be shy at that moment. She wasn't shy later on. Another picture of that spectacular rainbow. I sure hope it brings good luck to Suzanne and Ed.

On to the Reception!

Suzanne and Ed cutting their cake. The cake was delicious! Ed dancing the last dance with his newest grandchild. 10-month old Indigo. They danced to 'Baby of Mine'. Suzanne and Ed's first dance! They danced to an Elvis song. Gee what a surprise! Our sister Karen's sons, Mark, Matthew and Dan are talking to Ed's youngest son, Joe. They seemed to enjoy catching up with everyone. Suzanne your chariat awaits! Off they go in Ed's decorated pickup!! The sons had a great time decorating.

More of the Wedding!

Susan and I had our hair done that morning and then had our picture taken at the hotel. Arabella and Zeppelin were so cute giving the gifts to the priest. Suzanne and Ed kissing at the altar. The wait is over! Suzanne and Ed with their 4 boys (who are all fine young men) and 2 of the grandchildren. At the top is a picture of me as the 'rose' between the two 'thorns'. I said they've always been thorns in my side. Not really, I'm happy and proud of them. A nice picture of the priest and minister. They gave a lovely and very meaningful service. The priest is behind Suzanne and the minister is behind Ed-intresting!! More of the reception tomorrow.

Suzanne and Ed's Wedding!

Suzanne and Ed had a beautiful ceremony and a beautiful day. The evening before there was a bright, full rainbow that went across the whole sky-specutacular and promising. These are two of Robin and John's children and Suzanne's new grandchildren getting ready to bring the gifts to the priest. The next picture is of Ed and Suzanne saying their vows to each other. I'll be posting more with all of their children later. Finally, I can put a picture of the quilt that I made them along with the label on the back. I've worked hard to keep it a secret from them. I'll post more pictures tomorrow. The families blended beautifully.

Happy Mother's Day!

Tilt your head to the left as you look at this rock formation! Very interesting!!

To mothers and grandmothers every day, but especially Mother's Day!!
> Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby.
Somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, "Normal," is history.

> Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct ....
> Somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.

> Somebody said being a mother is boring .....
> Somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.

> Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out good."
> Somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee.

> Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices ..
> Somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a
> golf ball through the neighbor's kitchen window.

> Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother.
> Somebody never helped a fourth grader with her math.

> Somebody said you can't love the fifth child as much as you love the first.
> Somebody doesn't have five children.

> Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing
> questions in the books ........
> Somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose or in his ears.

> Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery
> Somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of
> kindergarten-- or on a plane headed for military "boot camp."

> Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied
> behind her back .......
> Somebody never organized four giggling Brownies to sell cookies.

> Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married
> .....Somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law
> to a mother's heartstrings.

> Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home ....
> Somebody never had grandchildren.

> Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her
> .........Somebody isn't a mother.

> Pass this along to all the"mothers" in your life.

> Have a Blessed Day!

A Few More Quilts from our Guild!

Clever ladies! The table runner is pretty. The quilt with the abc's was done by Aileen and she's sending it to Ireland for a niece. I also took a picture of the back and it looks likes Ella's quilt, but it's Bella's quilt. I took it fast because the ladies who were holding it wouldn't hold still. I'll try better next time (or I'll yell, hold still-louder!!).

Off to Nantucket!

At the end of April for the last 10 or 12 years, Nantucket has celebrated Daffodil Days. You go over on the boat, see the 2 million (at least) daffodils that have been planted, watch the old time car parade and shop. The car parade is pretty. All the cars are decorated with daffodils and other flowers. I didn't get any pictures of them this year or of daffodils. I did get a picture of a pretty cherry tree in bloom. We were also treated to a 3-piece jazz band on the boat. They were great. The weather was very nice and all-in-all it was a great day--very relaxing!
