Arabella and Indigo!

This is 2 of Ed and Suzanne's grandchildren. Indigo is just as cute as a button in her hat that reminds me of Easter! The picture of Arabella really doesn't do her justice. She's much prettier than the picture shows. She put on Suzanne's coat and had her purse over her arm.

Alison's Winter Wonderland!

Alison got her first taste of winter. She has a pretty view from her window. Her cat, Willie, isn't too sure if he likes snow or not!

Jacub!

This is Jacub from the Czech Republic! When he has time, he loves to sew and quilt. It took him almost a year to do this quilt, but he finished it and did a great job. He seems so happy when he is finished.

Thanksgiving Day!

We had a great Thanksgiving. It was a bit quiet with just the 4 of us, but it was still nice. Erin had to work until 3:00, so we waited until she got home to eat. JoAnna used my quilting machine and is really getting the hang of it.

What Time of Day Are You?

You Are Sunrise

You enjoy living a slow, fulfilling life. You enjoy living every moment, no matter how ordinary.
You are a person of reflection and meditation. You start and end every day by looking inward.
Caring and giving, you enjoy making people happy. You're often cooking for friends or buying them gifts.
All in all, you know how to love life for what it is - not for how it should be.

Try clicking on this to see what time of day you are!!! I just love being a sunrise!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Everyone, have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope everyone is ready for it. We've been in Florida for 2 weeks and I'm definitely not ready for Thanksgiving. It was in the high 70's to low 80's, so it sure doesn't feel like it's time for Thanksgiving. Now it's time to get serious and get down to business seeing as I'm doing the cooking!

More Quilts!

Some more pretty quilts from our guild. The purple one sure is colorful. The middle one is a quilt that was worked on at the Barnstable County fair and is going to the battered woman's shelter. I hope Maureen can do her seal the way she wants to.

Even More Quilts

There was a lot to show and tell this month. These are so pretty. The top one is called the Nantucket basket. The woman who designed this, Joan Shay, is in our guild. I asked her how she thought of this and she said she had a dream about it. Why don't I dream like that--haha! The other two are so colorful. The little girl doing her quilting is adorable.

More Guild Quilts!

More quilts from our guild ladies. The one to the left is a tree skirt that Nancy made for her sister for Christmas. I like this green one and, of course, the star one is very pretty.

Quilt Guild November 2, 2006

Some beautiful quilts from our guild ladies. Everyone does a fantastic job. We have some talented women in our guild! The red one is an ABC quilt made for a child. The one with the roses in the center was originally going to be a wallhanging and she decided to make it into a bed size. After making a boat for each corner she even quilted whales along the border because it's called Nantucket sleigh ride and the bottom one is for someone's couch. Isn't it cozy looking?

Happy Halloween

A friend said she wanted to go for a walk and she'd meet me at my house. When the door bell rang, I thought it was trick or treaters--what a surprise!!!
