Visitors to our Park!

I feel like I've stepped back into the 50's with these cars in our park. There was a convention at a hotel near us of people with these cars and two of them have trailers and decided to stay in our park rather than a hotel. It was nice to see their cars.

Taylor Hicks!

Taylor Hicks was the 2006 winner of American Idol. He was Suzanne's favorite! When I found out he was coming to the Melody Tent in Hyannis and that Suzanne was coming to a conference in South Yarmouth approximately the same time, I knew what I was getting her for her birthday!! I wanted to surprise her, but I had to be sure of the exact dates that she'd be here. We went last night and he was great! He's a ball of energy. Suzanne took thesse pictures of him and I took them off her blog. I forgot my camera. Anyway, we had a great time. We were both a little deaf on the way home, but it was worth it.

Relay for Life!

I walked in the Relay for Life Fri and Sat at the D-Y high school track. Teams put up a tent and then we all take turns walking. We raised a little over $2500.00, so we got a bronze metal. It was rewarding, fun, and tiring. Our banner had pictures of our loved ones who have died from cancer. I had Karen, Ma and Shirley on there. Karen and Ma are in the lower right side, under the R in FOR and Shirley is under the W in WE on the left side. They also had luminaria on Fri night. People decorate bags in memory of their loved ones who have died, they are filled with sand, and a tea candle is added. At 9:00 on Fri night they are lit all around the track and then people walk around and look at them. Very moving! They also had 'Miss Relay'. Bob from our team was a hula dancer. Cute!!
