Quilting Retreat - March 2010

I took a class at the Eastham retreat to make a 4-hour bag. After 8 hours I still wasn't done!!! haha I finally finished it at home. I've put a ruler in it to make it stand up. It's very pretty and really not hard, just time consuming!! I didn't take any break, except for potty and lunch on Sat trying to make this and I was so tense, I put my back into spasm. I learned a lesson. I'll never stay that long on a project. Usually I take a walk or do something else in a different position, but I wanted to get this bag done. It's done. The only other thing I did this weekend was start a mystery quilt and finish the binding on this cute baby quilt.

What Will I Make With These Fabrics??

I've almost competed a quilt with these fabrics. Can anyone guess what it'll look like?? Stay tuned and find out later!
Also, my sister, Carleen, is going through chemo and radiation and it's taking a toll on her body. She's had a few bouts in the hospital due to dehydration and other problems. She doesn't feel like eating and that isn't helping either. Please say a prayer that she'll recover from all this! Thanks!

Quilt Guild- March, 2010

We had show & tell at our quilt guild and the quilts were beautiful as usual! The bottom one is a wedding quilt and the picture does not do it justice. It has scallop shells and Celtic symbols embroidered in there that it very had to see. Good job, ladies, as usual!!

Visit to Maryland!!

First we were in Florida and we got a new mattress and bedspread. I like it a lot!! Then George flew to WI to get a fire truck and I flew to Maryland to visit Alison and Scott. That was a nightmare trip with flights being canceled, etc. I finally got there. They took me to see their 'new' house (they close March 22nd). It's a nice area. I need to get a picture of Erin's house in Marston's Mills-when the spring comes! We then went to see my nephew and family. They have a 2 yr old daughter, Hannah. I brought her 2 books and a stuffed animal. She loved the books. She plopped on the couch immediately to 'read' them. That didn't last long. She wanted to see what else she got!!
