Catherine's Quilting!

Alison and I went to visit Catherine. She lives with her son's family in Carver, MA. She's had a needle in her hand since she was 11 and she's now over 80. She does beautiful work. The white one with the Santa in the sleigh is going to be a tree skirt for her granddaughter. The work on the other one is just exquisite. The little dog, Julie, is her grandson's dog. Catherine has always been petrified of dogs, but she loves little Julie and Julie loves her.

More of the Retirement Party

Everyone seemed to have a good time. Some ate under the tent and some ate on the lawn. My brother, Ed, had to prove he was from Tennessee and 'try' out the outhouse!! John Sears gave a funny speach to George. Good job everyone!

George's Retirement Party!

We finally had George's retirement party. The fire dept. gave him an ax. We all had a great time. He got the yard all cleaned out before the party. Cleon Turner, one of our representatives, read a proclamation to George and many got up and spoke about George. I'll have more pictures tomorrow. Alison was able to make it home from Washington. We danced to Freddie and the Maybellines. Everyone thought they were great!

Two New Quilts!

These are two quilts that I've made. The top one doesn't have it's borders yet and then will need to be quilted. The bottom one I just got back from the quilter and she did a great job. I just finished the binding last night!

More Dancers and a Pretty Girl in a Yellow Dress!

I couldn't resist Abby in her pretty yellow dress and hat! So cute! I like the purple color of the dancer's shawl. All the costumes were pretty!
