My Beautiful Friend!!

Isn't he beautiful!! To me it's so peaceful and serene! I walk around the cranberry bogs in W. Yarmouth and this fellow has been greeting me lately. There is usually a pair of them. This was taken yesterday and she wasn't around. Maybe she's sitting on a nest??

Little Quilts at Tumbleweeds!

At Tumbleweeds in W. Barnstable they have put a display of small quilts. A group of us belong to Jo's Little Women club. We meet once a month at Tumbleweeds and work on a Jo Morton quilt. A bunch of ours got hung there for the month of April. Mine are in the bottom picture; the first two on the top left. The smaller one has a picture of my grandmother and my mother taken in 1923. Click on the pictures and they will enlarge and you'll get a better view of them.

Cherry Blossoms

Alison and I drove back to Maryland the day after her shower. The next day we took a boat tour along the Potomac to see the Cherry Blossoms. The were gorgeous! It was neat to see the city from that side too. We had lunch after overlooking the Potomac at a great seafood restaurant. Yum! Maryland crab cakes and crab soup!! I also took a picture of Alison in front of her house.

Send Off for Quilting Friend!!

Sue, top picture, has been trying to sell her house for almost 2 years and move to one of the Carolina's (sorry can't remember which one). It finally got sold and they are moving next week. A group of us signed a signature block and Peg put it all together with the center that she embroidered! Click on it to read the inscription! Nancy, from the group, quilted it. We took Sue to dinner last Thu and presented her with the quilt. She was very shocked and touched. Vickie gave her the plaque to hang on her wall with the lovely saying on it. It was a very nice night and a great send off for a fellow quilter. We will miss her.
