Saying Goodbye to a Fellow Quilter!

Jean, a member of our quilting group and third from the left in the first picture, is leaving the Cape and going to Wisconsin. A bunch of us attended a dinner for her and we gave her a Cape Cod bracelet! She loved it. This way, she'll always remember the Cape and all of us. We'll miss her. She always had a smiling face and a great sense of humor.

50th Anniversary Quilt

This is a wallhanging that I made for a friend's 50th anniversary! They are a wonderful couple with a great family and I just felt I wanted to make this for them. Their wedding picture is in the center with the places they have lived on the side. Then surrounding them is their children and grandchildren in the stars and in their hearts!

Pops by the Sea!

I volunteered to help out at the Pops by the Sea in Hyannis on Sun. For volunteering I got 2 free tickets. My job was to guard the Main St. gate behind the JFK museum and not let anyone in unless they had a green pass. I was with another woman. She was very nice and the time went quickly. I invited Suzanne to the show. She met me about 12:30 The show didn't start until 5:00 but they opened it up at 1:00 and we were able to put our chairs down. We did that and then we went for lunch and came back to wait for the show. We had a great time. Henry Winkler (The Fonz) was the guest conductor. He was funny. We had great seats out of the sun.
