Follow the Quilt Trail

Driving through scenic northeast Tennessee, you'll find giant quilt blocks on barns. They are part of "Follow the Quilt Trail" project that was started in August 2004 through the Appalachian Resource Conservation & Development Councils of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. They search the area and talk to the owners of the property to see if they have a family quilt. If possible, they recreate a block from the quilt on the barn. I'd love to drive the trail sometime and find all the blocks. Go to: www.quilttrail.org to find out more about this project.
