Helping Out Victims!

These were taken in Gulf Port, LA by a FEMA member from Cape Cod who has been there for a few days now. The devastation is unbelievable! He's very tired. I've had training as a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) member and also Red Cross and may go to Otis to help take care of the 2,500 victims that are being brought there today or tomorrow. We all do whatever we can to help. I hope the people from those areas will realize how much the citizens of the rest of the country are trying to help them. 'Old Glory' still stands in the middle of all the devastation as a symbol of hope. One of our retired firefighters and his wife moved to New Orleans a few years ago. We heard that they were evacuated and are safe but there house is probably ruined. She's a cancer survivor, has a weak immune system, and can't go back until things are completely cleaned up, if she can ever go back.
