New Table and Plant!

Shirley made this plant pot many years ago and I decided to put a flower in it and put it by the office door. It looks nice there.
I'm tired of buying wooded picnic tables. They don't seem to hold up for very many years. So, I ordered a table to take the place of the picnic table. It's from the Telescope company and I've had chairs from them for about 9 or 10 years that are still going strong. They have a 15 yr. guarantee. It should last longer than the wooden one and it looks nice.

Aquatic cookout at Lorraine's in Osterville!

Our aquatic group had a pot-luck lunch at Lorraine's house. She has a new, gorgeous house in Osterville. The house is so pretty. She can see North Bay in Osterille from her back yard--just spectacular. It was a very nice day.

CERT cookout!

On Wednesday night we had a cookout for all CERT members. It was al Flax Pond in South Yarmouth. The fire department provided the hamburgers, chicken and hot dogs and then each member brought something. Rick and Bob were the cooks. A lot of fun!

More Hydrangeas in the back yard

There are pretty blue hydrangeas in the back yard. JoAnna planted 4 more for us the other day and they are looking rather droopy. We think it's from the trauma of being transplanted and they will all come back beautifully. Also, I've planted some catmint by our deck with piink lillies and I have some nice impatients along the railing and hanging.

Hydrangeas in our front yard!

The hydrangeas out front are very pretty this year. It amazes me how they can be 2 different colors in the same plant. I bought some crystals that you mix with water and feed the plant that is supposed to make them all blue. I've only used it once, so there is no difference yet. I like the blue, blue color!

Flower in JoAnna's Garden

This flower just appeared in JoAnna's garden. I'm not sure if the picture really captures how pretty and different it is. It's a very unusual color with a hint of peach. Very pretty!

One of Phoebe's 'Monsters' Grown Up!

Isn't she pretty? This is one of the kittens that Phoebe help raise after she rescued the pregnant mother. This one was the smallest in the litter and had to struggle the most when first born. You'd never know that now. She loves her adopted home and is the queen of the house now.

The Kiss

A photographer from the 'Observer' in Charlotte, N.C. saw a fireman rescue this dog from a burning house and place her on the front lawn. When the fire was out and he sat down to rest, the photographer noticed the dog coming towards the fireman and he also observed that the dog was pregnant. Not knowing what the dog was about to do, he got his camera ready, and took this shot.

Jim and Michelle's Wedding

Sheri and Ed's son, Jim got married yesterday to his high school sweetheart, Michelle. Sheri looked beautiful in her blue dress. Michelle was beautiful in her dress and I loved the long train. It was a lovely wedding and the reception was at Sea Crest in Falmouth. That is such a lovely spot, right on the ocean. I wish them a long and happy life together.
