The Auto Train

We got on the auto train in Lorton, Virginia at 4:00 pm and then we were in Sanford, Florida at 9:00 am the next day. It's amazing how fast they can load the cars onto the auto train and get everything ready to go.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. Ours was very nice. Doesn't that bird look good? Igor, the Russian boy who worked here this summer, had dinner with us. I got a picture of him talking to JoAnna and Erin before we all sat down to eat. Fifty years ago I would never had thought that I'd have a Russian citizen sitting at our table!!

Quilt Show!

Our quilt show was a great success!! We even did good on Saturday considering the weather. We were all snug inside the beautiful brick building and didn't realize how bad the storm was getting outside. We closed the show around 2:30 to let the women drive home safely. These are just a few of the quilts, our treasure table (which did very well also) and our 5 quilt challenge quilts. All in all, everything went very well.

Here are more beautiful quilts from our members. We have a big quilt show coming up Sat and Sun and I'll be busy with that. Also, we had 5 people do the challenge quilt and people voted for them. Mine is the next to the last one in the picture. I won first place. So, thank you to all who voted for me.
