Quilt Show!

I went to a quilt show in Upton on Saturday. It was very nice. These are just a few of the quilts.

Neat Pictures!

Aren't these pictures neat? The top one is actually a cake! I can't imagine how they made it. The bottom one is a pencil drawing. Hidden in the drawing are many symbols of sewing, quilting, and knitting. Click on the picture to make it bigger and more clear and see how many you can find!

Ladies from 'Menopause the Musical'

Our Firebelles group (ladies auxiliary of the fire department) hosts the Sandwich ladies (Sirens) every other year and then they host us every other year. This year was our turn. For the entertainment portion, we invited a local group of ladies who lip-sync to the play, 'Menopause the Musical'. It was hysterical.

Saturday Sewing Society

I can't believe we've had our third Saturday sewing society! It is such fun. I'll be missing next month because we'll be away. There's always May!! There's Judy with her stacked posies table runner nearing it's completion. Then the ladies are showing off their completed table runners. Joan sewed the binding on her quilt that she started years ago. So, we're all getting something accomplished!

Quilt Guild 3/6/08

Here are a few of the quilts from the women in our quilt guild. From table runner in the top picture to full size in the middle and an artsy quilt at the bottom. Very pretty!

Mayflower in Canal

Yesterday the Mayflower replica was taken through the canal. The Mayflower had been in Fairhaven in dry dock all winter and was being taken back to Plymouth.

Speaker at our March Quilt Guild!

Maryanne Boberg was our guest speaker at Quilt Guild this month. She showed us some of her wonderful antique quilts. She gave a very interesting talk on how she got started collecting quilts. She registers them with the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell. I'll have our members pictures later.

World Series Trophies

Erin went to a Chamber meeting last night and they had the World Series trophies for the Red Sox on display! Aren't they wonderful?? Good picture, Erin!
