Yesterday there was an unveiling of a plaque of the founding members of the cultural center. Our name and JoAnna's is on the plaque. It was a nice ceremony and a great honor. Our state representative, Atsalis, was there. We've seen it go from a run-down bank to a beautiful cultural center.
Today is Alison's 30th birthday! One picture is of Alison wrapped in a quilt that her friend from college made her for being in her wedding. The other picture is she and Erin taking me to New York City in December '07. Where have all the years gone? Keep up the good work, Alison.
Mike is getting ready to take Hannah for a walk. She was all excited until she saw me! We walked in the park. It was great. Tamara was going to make a garden stone for her Mom for Mother's Day using Hannah's feet and then decorate the stone. Aren't her little feet so cute?? Her sister-in-law pushed Hannah's feet in the cement while Tamara held her. Hannah was good about it.
We had a guest teacher from NY at the guild. We all got a small kit and she showed us how to do folded hexagons. It was fun. Her work is very beautiful! Those are the first two. The bottom one is Lorraine Westcott. She made this one in a class. Beautiful too.
Once again, our quilt guild ladies are showing their talents!! Janice with her carrot place mats. Trisha with her sleigh quilt and her mother's NY beauties quilt and Mary showing off her jacket!
