CN Tower in Toronto, Canada!

Here we are in Toronto, Canada. This is the CN tower and it's near our hotel. Of course, I won't be climbing up there any time soon. George is here as an alternate to the IAFF (Firefighters Union). We arrived Sunday afternoon and we're leaving tomorrow. It's nice here and we have a lovely hotel room. We've gotten to see our friends Lucy and Graham in Mississauga (about 30 miles away) twice. It was nice catching up with them. Tonight we go on a dinner cruise on the lake. Tomorrow it's back to the grind. We are flying on the same type of plane that crashed in Lexington, KY. I sure hope our pilot knows what he's doing!!

More Quilts from the Quilt Show in Harwich

A few more quilts from the Harwich show. The first two pictures with several quilts in each are quilts done by a remarkable 16 year old girl. She's been quilting since she was 11 and does a great job. She's won many ribbons in her age group. I like the one with the cat at the bottom sitting among the flowers. Of course, I love anything with cats!! The other one is done by Marge Lydecker and she's a renown quilter and quilt teacher. This quilt was shown at the Lowel Quilt Museum and few months ago.

Last, but not least, more pictures from the blessing!

Part of the choir that Suzanne sings with, sang a couple of songs. Very nice! Zeppelin and Arabella sat very quietly with Suzanne's two sons, Bill and Doug and Bill's girlfriend, Kim. You can't see Arabella, but she's next to Kim. Joe held Indigo until she got squirmy and wanted to get down on the floor. Ed and Suzanne gave a nice smile after the minister gave her blessing. A nice picture of Suzanne and Ed at the reception in front of the cake.

More from the Blessing!

One of Suzanne's friends sang and Ed and Suzanne enjoyed that. Ed read a poem. Suzanne read a poem that she wrote. It was a lovely service. Indigo had a great time and entertained everyone. Even the minister said it was a happy occasion and it was nice to have a happy baby to help celebrate. More pictures tomorrow!

Suzanne and Ed's Blessing!

It was a lovely day for Ed and Suzanne surrounded by family and friends for their blessing. Her brother, Chuck, did a reading and her brother-in-law, Steve, did a reading. The weather cooperated and it was a warm day with low humidity! More pictures to follow tomorrow.

Quilt Show in Harwich!

There was a quilt show in Harwich yesterday. A woman from the post office in Dennis has made a quilt from all the zip codes on Cape Cod. She asked volunteers to do the quilt squares. It came out so pretty. It's going to travel around to the different post offices on the Cape and they are not sure just where it will be kept when it's done traveling. I got a close-up shot of South Yarmouth, W. Yarmouth, and YarmouthPort is in there somewhere!

Feel Good Pictures!

What a face!!! Aren't these just the cutest? I keep saying that I don't want any more animals. They are a lot of work. But, then I see cuties like these, and I weaken! I got these pictures from the website cateoftheday. Too cute, too much!

My Birthday Feast!!

For my birthday, JoAnna and Erin cooked some little necks and lobsters with salad and vegetables. Look out Docie--that lobster is going to get you!! Serve them up, Erin. They were good!! George doesn't care for lobster, so he had a nice piece of steak! It was a nice night to have all of that outside. Thanks girls!! Also, I'm getting a retractable awning for the deck! Thanks again to George and girls!!

Whalefest!

Sat. July 29th IFAW (international fund for animal welfare) sponsored a whalefest in Hyannis. It even included one of the painted whales. In fact, IFAW is the originator of the whale trail. There were a lot of things for the kids to do including a dunk dank. Phoebe was in the tank from 10:00 to noon and she said the kids had fantastic aim. She got dunked a lot!!

Our 'White' Visitor!

Our visitor is very intent on something on the ground. I don't know if it was something in JoAnna's garden or what, but he's very intent! I don't know how he balanced up there. He's huge! Dolcie didn't even take notice of him. In the past she used to scream and hiss at him, but now she can't be bothered!
