In With The New!

The kitchen is shaping up. Love the granite and the backsplash. It's very different. The granite in one of the bathrooms wasn't cut correctly so that has to be redone and then the plumber has to come back on Mon and put the sink back in that bathroom and then it should be done. (I hope)!!! It's been a long process but very worth it. On the top picture can you see the hook of the Cape or is it a whale's tale?? I like my new cabinet a lot. The shelves are nice.

Visit with Mark and Judy

Erin and I drove to Provincetown to visit with Mark and Judy. Mark is my sister, Karen's, oldest son. His father was brought up in Provincetown and Mark likes to visit Provincetown! Mark and Judy live in Oklahoma. They want to come to Provincetown every June for the Portuguese Festival held there. We had a good dinner at the Red Inn. We had a very nice time with Judy and Mark.

Out With The Old!!

Doesn't everyone have a stove in their dining room?? Jose is carrying out the old sink. So glad to see that go out the door. It's a big job. They had problem getting the tile off the backsplash. It was really glued on there. I hope the counters get installed today! I don't think the job will be finished until Mon or Tue. Oh well, just have to put up the mess a little longer and it will be beautiful when done!!

Completed baby quilt!

I finished this baby quilt. Not sure who it is going to, but it is all in flannels and it's very snuggly. The 'bows' in the center are only attached in the corners so a toy can be clamped on with a ring! It'll be good for 'tummy time'. It's also very bright which a baby will love!!

What shows up in our yard!!

First, let me thank everyone who bought a raffle ticket for the quilt. I turned in $365.00 at the Relay for Life Cancer Walk. I was hoping for $400.00 but I was late getting it done this year. Next year I'll get it done earlier! Now, to the picture of the fire truck! We never know what will be in our yard when we wake up in the morning!! George didn't think he'd be home very early for Father's Day. He drove like crazy on Fri and made it to Albany. He got up at 4:00 am to make it in time for the Deli at 10:00. He drove it right to the Deli and parked it on the side. Not sure what everyone thought of the fire truck being there, but it was in a shaded spot and no one said anything to him. The girls took him out to Sam Diego's for supper and that pleased him!!

Our quilt guild gave 17 quilts to the Brockton VA Wounded Warriors! Mr. Leeman from the Brockton VA was very impressed! It was a lovely display. Our chief from Yarmouth, Chief Frederickson, also showed up and he was impressed too! It's been our guild's project for the last 5 months. They are lap size for people who are in wheel chairs! Great work everyone!!
