 These two quilts are from a challenge that we had to bring in blocks from a pattern called the disappearing 9 patch.  These quilts were made from these blocks and will be donated a children's charity.

 This is a quilt that Laura made.  A bunch of her friends gave her squares and she put them together.

Lena on Valentine's Day!

This is Lena in her Valentine's outfit!!

 It's really her Christmas dress without the bow!  Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!!

Alison made her this whale dress with the scallop bodice and the peter pan color. Doesn't she look like a model??  She's getting so big.

Valentine's and Voodoo!!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!  I got these beautiful flowers from George!!

This picture of the E is very eerie to me.  We have been trying to celebrate Erin's birthday for almost a week and something keeps getting in the way--schedules, snow, no electric, etc.  We finally agreed on last night.  As I came out of a store yesterday, I noticed something on the trunk of my car.  At first I thought it was a stone that had gotten thrown up from a passing car.  As I got closer, I noticed that it was  a metal with an E on it.   Where did it come from?  How did it land perfectly on the trunk of my car??  Who put it there???  Is it a sign from Mary?  Is it a sign from Shirley?  Or is it just a coincidence?
I'm taking it as a good sign.

Blizzard of 2013!

The first picture is from about 6:00 am out the front door. The snow and wind howled all night. Hard to tell how many inches we got because it's drifted so much. The second picture is Erin's yard. The neighbor's tree took down part of her fence and she hasn't had electric since last night. We lost it from midnight to 5:30am. It's still on with a few flickers here and there. The last picture is taken out the office door looking towards JoAnna's at about 9:30am. See the wind is still whipping!! So much for New England winters!!! George has been out plowing and sanding since yesterday morning with a short break in the middle of the night. He's getting too old for this!!! Well, I'm off to get some sewing done as long as we have electricity!!
